Shannon Kerrick, LCSW
Shannon is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 12 years of experience in a variety of settings and with a broad range of clients. She is also the owner and operator of The Bridge Counseling.
She specializes in adults and families using a variety of evidence based treatments including, CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), Motivational Interviewing, EFT (Emotion Focused Therapy) among others. Shannon is also passionate about the field of sexual health. She is currently working towards obtaining full certification as certified sex therapist and a sex educator. She completed the Sexual Health Certificate Program through the University of Michigan in 2022.
Shannon has worked in many settings to including residential treatment for teens, community mental health supporting adults living with severe and persistent mental illness, wilderness therapy with teens and young adults, and outpatient therapy.
Shannon embodies a client-centered approach prides herself in her ability to connect with and reach even the most disconnected of clients. Her experiences working in unconventional therapeutic settings (the wilderness, equine, adventure and community) shape her belief in providing a creative and unique therapeutic experience tailored to the needs of her clients. Sitting in an office setting is not always the most effective tool for clients that seek therapy.
Shannon spent her youth in Idaho before obtaining her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Redlands. She then attended graduate school at Arizona State University and received her Master of Social Work Degree.
Beyond the office, Shannon is an sidekick for her avid adventurer husband and kids. She spends most of her free time enjoying the outdoors, skiing, rock climbing, hiking, paddleboarding, mountain biking and backpacking. She also enjoys travel, eating incredible foods and creating and building community with her friends and family!

Making the decision to seek out help can seem scary, my goal is to foster a relationship with my clients that makes them feel safe, heard and supported in their journey through recovery. Social work is my calling, it gives me great pride to help others process and work through their struggles.
